CHILLIE BITES (DALTJIES)
250ml pea flour 30ml cake flour 1 onion grated 5ml jeera 5ml koljana 10ml crushed chillies 3ml turmeric 5ml salt ½ bunch green dhunia ½ bunch shredded spinach leaves 10ml baking powder oil to fry
Sift pea flour and cake flour into a fairly large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients, except the baking powder and oil. Mix with sufficient water to make a thick batter. Stir in baking powder just before frying. Drop tablespoons full at a time into the hot oil and fry until lightly browned about 5min. Turn and brown on other side. Drain and serve hot.
